At the Sutter Physical Therapy and Fitness Centers therapists provide evaluation, education, and training for patients in the proper use of exercise to restore function and relieve pain. The clinics also offer a fitness center, open to the public, to provide a continuing path to an active lifestyle.

Fitness Center
The Fitness Center at each clinic offer low-cost memberships to the public. Members have access to treadmills, free weights, elliptical trainers, upright and recumbent bikes, stepper, selective resistance equipment, dual pulley systems, upper body ergometers and gym balls, as well as personal trainers and massage therapists.

The Fitness Center also offers Focus on Health Programs:

• HEALTHY BACK - learn proper movement patterns, establish an exercise program designed specifically for you and receive follow-up to assure an optimal outcome.
• HEALTHY WEIGHT - establish a weight loss exercise prescription that works for YOU and follow-up visits for the encouragement and accountability that will assure success.
• FUNCTIONAL TRAINING - Functional training reduces ACL tears and other injuries, while improving athletic performance. This is accomplished by analyzing the physical demands of the sport and designing a purposeful progression of exercises to develop a higher level of athletic preparation.

Each program includes:

• Initial Evaluation – a one-on-one evaluation with a Physical Therapist to determine the most appropriate program for you.
• Initial session – a one-on-one session with our Personal Trainer to establish your program.
• Gym Program – a three month gym membership.
• Training sessions – three follow-up training sessions in a small group of one to three.
